With the Begadi PRO NEPTUN, it was important to us to improve the compatibility and recurring feeding problems with different manufacturers and magazines.
We have achieved this goal through the flexibility of the NEPTUN. This HopUp Unit can be easily adjusted to the required length without having to dismantle the gearbox and replace the nozzle. In order to optimize the feeding of different magazines, the loading channel can be adjusted via a thread. The distance between the hop-up unit and receiver can also be finely adjusted using the integrated screw.
The adjustment wheel was manufactured to fit current weapons from Begadi, Cyma, E&L, ICS, VFC, E&C, A&K, G&G and many more. No machining is necessary
As with our FNS and NEBO HopUp Unit, production also takes place using the CNC process. All components are manufactured with a maximum tolerance of 0.05mm.
After production, the parts undergo a visual inspection in order to exclude any possible internal grades. They are then checked for dimensional accuracy with a laser and securely packaged.
Adjusting the HopUp Unit:
You will find 4 shims with a thickness of 0.20mm each in the scope of delivery. These can be applied to the gearbox connector and the distance to the gearbox and nozzle adjusted accordingly.
Nozzles from 20.80mm to 21.50mm are supported. The number of shims required depends on the manufacturer, the nozzle length, the tappet plate and the gearbox.
The distance between the nozzle and the HopUp rubber can be easily seen through the windows on the side. (The tappet plate must be completely relaxed for this)
Here is a rough overview of the shims to be installed:
Nozzle: 20.80mm – Do not use any shims
Nozzle: 21.00mm – 0.20 – 0.40mm shims (1 - 2 pcs.)
Nozzle: 21.25mm – 0.40 – 0.60mm shims (2 - 3 pcs.)
Nozzle: 21.50mm – 0.60 – 0.80mm shims (3 - 4 pcs.)
If you have less power after installation, too many shims have been used; remove one.
If you experience feeding issues, install another shim on the gearbox connector or check the adjustment of the feeding channel. For exotic guns or those with a very long nozzle, the optional Gearbox Connector (Offset +0.8mm) can also be used. This replaces 4 shims and is often used in Cyma models with a 21.50mm nozzle.
In order to align the HopUp Unit correctly with its manufacturer and the magazines used, the loading channel can be unscrewed via the thread. We recommend turning the loading channel all the way in for the first installation. If your magazine is too loose in this state or does not release any BBs, unscrew the loading channel by 2 - 3 positions until the BBs are released from the magazine.
The current setting can be read off the scale on the loading channel.
With some manufacturers (e.g. E&L) it can happen that the HopUp Unit is pushed slightly away from the gearbox after inserting the magazine. In this case, you will find a small grub screw at the front. This can be used to adjust the unit to the receiver.
Unscrew the screw until the unit is firmly attached to the gearbox when the gun is assembled.
Compatible Inner Barrels: (C-Clip)
Our NEPTUN can be used with all standard AEG inner barrels with a diameter of 8.5 - 8.55mm. The barrel locking must have a distance of 22.10 to 22.30mm! (see last image in the shop) Why do we write this so clearly? There are a few manufacturers who do not adhere to this dimension, so the C-clip cannot be installed! All guns and tuning barrels in our shop offer the correct measurement. Note that the barrel must be lightly pressed backward during the installation of the C-clip until it clicks into place. The centering ring made of brass is designed for all standard barrels with 8.5 - 8.55mm diameter. (Begadi Sport, Cyma, Arcturus, E&L, LCT, VFC, DaVinci, PDI, PPS, RedDragon, TNT). If you have a barrel that is slightly thicker (e.g., Lambda barrels sometimes have 8.56 - 8.57mm), the ring must be slightly sanded on the inside.
Precise adjustment of the hop-up:
The hop-up effect can be precisely adjusted using the fine adjustment wheel with position indication. This leads to significantly more consistent shooting results. The built-in O-ring prevents adjustment due to vibrations. The surface of the adjustment wheel has a very non-slip design, so that adjustment is also possible with dirty gloves.
System without limitations:
This HopUp system leaves nothing to be desired, it is compatible with both normal 5mm and modern 7mm barrel windows and HopUp rubbers (AEG). We supply a suitable tensioner for every requirement.
The choice of barrel is also entirely up to you, both normal AEG and hybrid barrels can be used.
Our enclosed aluminum tensioners are fitted with one of the two rubbers, with a hard and a soft version available. We recommend using the soft (black) version for lighter BBs.
The red version is suitable for 0.40g+ or for corresponding buckings which have a flatter patch.
As our products are matched to each other, we recommend using a Begadi PRO HopUp rubber (FLY5, FYL7, MAG5, MAG7, SHP5)
