Sustainability / Environmental protection
Environmental protection and sustainability are very important to Begadi. Below we would like to inform you about sustainability in all aspects of shipping at Begadi, but also provide information about hosting the store and supplying the company buildingsCO2 neutral shipping
At Begadi, you can choose between UPS, DHL and DPD as your transport service provider. With DHL and UPS, all parcels are delivered CO2 neutral
Details DHL
Begadi participates in DHL's GoGreen program, so that DHL parcels are shipped climate-neutrally throughout Germany and internationally via the GoGreen program.
You can find more information here
Details UPS
Begadi participates in the UPS Carbon Neutral Program. This means that UPS offsets the climate impact of packages shipped by Begadi. UPS supports projects such as reforestation, methane and landfill gas destruction and wastewater treatment. For more information click here
Sustainable packaging (cardboard boxes) from German production
Begadi sends parcels in cardboard packaging that has been manufactured in Germany using sustainable standards. There are a few exceptions here, for example shipping in large containers or similar - where for reasons of sustainability it makes more sense to deliver in the manufacturer's outer packaging in which the goods arrive at our warehouse
Our cardboard packaging produced in Germany by Straub-Verpackungen GmbH consists largely of recycled paper / recycled cardboard. The partner naturally obtains its raw materials from sustainably managed forests and is also FSC-certified.
You can download the certificate here
Recycling of cardboard packaging
We process a large proportion of used cardboard packaging on site into padded mats or padded filling material for the shipping area. This gives these materials a longer life cycle and saves resources.
Sustainable hosting in Germany
The Begadi Shop is hosted in Germany by the company Maxcluster - where it is powered by 100% green electricity. Our partner Maxcluster goes even further here, in addition to Co2 neutral electricity, and uses the waste heat from the servers to heat residential buildings!

Energy supply via green electricity
Begadi's company buildings are supplied with 100% green electricity from EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG.
Heating the company buildings with biomass & photovoltaics
We heat our company buildings with a wood chip heating system from regional sources, supported by a warm air stove / wood-burning stove. We also use a solar thermal system for hot water and heating.
Dealing with returns:
Wherever possible, we endeavor to repair / recycle the relevant products instead of disposing of them. This approach conserves resources compared to disposal, which is often easier.
