Actually, the Shemagh/Kufiya is a classic cotton cloth, which has become known to us as the PLO cloth through reporting from the Middle East. But in fact it is more than that. Whether worn as a warming neck scarf, rolled, in the city, as a head covering worn sun protection on a mountain tour or shoulder scarf that protects against sunburn on the beach, the scarf is always a faithful companion.

Long before they became "in fashion" in the Western world, the shawls were valued by military and wilderness experts as a multifunctional garment. Today, these shemaghs can also be found in the clothing repertoire of many special forces, but also as an accessory at universities and while shopping. Due to its loose weave, the fabric is light, permeable to air and provides a comfortable feel, but when folded it traps enough air to insulate well.

We had the traditional Kufiya/Shemagh made to our specifications from high quality cotton, no blended fibers. 100% cotton
