Due to frequent requests and the experience in our workshop team, we decided to develop the mpaX, the decisive factors were problems that occurred with the original HopUp unit, such as
Construction:
Our mpaX unit is completely CNC-machined and works in the so-called TDC system, in which the inserted Tensioner is moved onto the HopUp rubber via a guide. This creates a constant and evenly distributed pressure on the patch of rubber. Commercially available AEG HopUp rubbers can still be used.
We recommend the combination with our Begadi PRO HopUp rubbers (FYL5, SHP5 or MAG5, MHP5)
If you would like to use a 7mm HopUp system, this is also possible; a suitable Tensioner is included in the scope of delivery.
For a 7mm system, we recommend the following rubbers: FLY7, SHP7 and MAG7.
To prevent unintentional adjustment of the unit, the tension resistance of the adjustment lever can be adjusted using the included rubbers.
If you install a red rubber (hard version) on both sides, a little more force is required to adjust the lever, and unintentional adjustment due to knocks and vibrations is no longer possible.
If you want the lever to move more smoothly, use the black version (soft) of the rubber.
After fitting, you can continue to adjust the HopUp continuously from the side. The improved lever and its contact surface allow very fine adjustment of the HopUp.
The position of the current setting is indicated on the lever.
During development, we used the original Cyma Nozzle with a length of 21.50 mm as a guide.
It is therefore not absolutely necessary to replace the Nozzle.

Maple Leaf: We do not recommend the use of Maple Leaf HopUp rubbers with the mpaX! These are usually slightly thicker in the area of the seal to the Nozzle than conventional Buckings. This means that the Nozzle requires more force to push the ball into the HopUp unit. If the Spring of the Tappet plate is too weak, the BB will be fired from the seal or cause feeding problems. Please also note that our Tensioners do not work well with Maple Leaf tuning barrels. The HopUp window is not fully developed in these Barrels, which means that a significantly lower HopUp effect can be set. Always use tuning barrels with a fully developed HopUp window
Deviations on the inner holder:
We are currently aware of two faults on the inner casting from Cyma, which may need to be rectified before fitting.
These can occur depending on the manufacturing date/batch of the gun, mostly older models (e.g. SD6) are affected.
1) Older Cyma batches of the gun may have a casting defect inside. This must be removed so that the bore is completely round.
2) There may be older Cyma batches in which the bore only has a diameter of 12.50mm. However, this should be 12.60 - 12.70mm.

- the inconsistent trajectory due to the soft HopUp arm of the original unit
- tolerances that made it necessary to replace the Nozzle
- the wear of the BB feed of the original unit
- the holding force of the adjustment lever had to be adjusted frequently
- the adjustment of the original unit was inaccurate
