Our Wind Shield Jacket is the lightest and most compact jacket that was added to our program!
Made of ultra-light, DWR coated 35D nylon ripstop fabric, the jacket weighs in size XL only 195 grams! The material is water-repellent (not waterproof), completely windproof and extremely breathable (MVP value over 8000). The jacket has a large front pocket and a stow-away hood. An elastic waistband and cuffs complete the kit. When compressed / stowed in its bag, the jacket can be stowed even in your pocket! This compact pack size makes it ideal for portability!
The applications are as diverse as the material itself! It can be worn on mountain hikes as a Windstopper over the fleece jacket as well as as a wind-stopping layer under the Smock during field use! It can be used as a summer jacket during the night, as windbreaker on the bycicle or as overlayer on foggy mornings - as well as an improvised camouflage as part of the Grey-Man concept (see example images below).
