The Xtreme3 tuning barrel from Slong impresses with its excellent workmanship and good price.
Many manufacturers are rather cautious about tuning barrels in terms of "innovations" or "new features", which we can understand in principle. But here we were more than surprised what a difference this barrel can make.
During in-house testing on a 50m outdoor range, we were able to compare two HW 4 series weapons.
One HW4 had a power of 2,1J, a HopUp Unit from Maxx, a Maple Leaf Hopup rubber and a 455mm Prometheus barrel. As expected, the hit pattern at 50 yards was very good. The range of the BB was also a good 10-15 meters more (straight trajectory).
The second HW4 had a power of 1.5J and also a HopUp Unit from Maxx. But instead of Maple Leaf and Prometheus, the SLONG barrel in 370mm and the included Slong HopUp rubber was used. What surprised us so much was that despite the shorter barrel and less power, we achieved just as good a hit pattern and above all the same range as with the first HW4!
Features:
1.Through the enlarged hop-up window at the beginning of the inner barrel, the effect that the hop-up rubber transfers to the bullet is significantly increased. At the same time, the bullet is propelled forward and fired by the kinetic energy of the gearbox.
2.Once the bullet is fired and pushed out of the hopup, an air turbulence is created between the BB and the inner barrel. This air turbulence escapes through the 5mm opening at the exit of the barrel. The air turbulence increases the hopup effect of the bullet throughout the inner barrel, and thus increases the trajectory and accuracy of the BB.
3.The inside of the barrel is chemically polished and then finished with Reflective Mirror technology, creating a mirror-like surface that reduces friction.
4.The rest of the inner barrel is treated with a precision electroplating process, achieving a hardness like steel, is impact resistant, corrosion resistant, acid and alkali resistant, and has a longer service life.
CAUTION: The Hopup Rubber and SLong Precision Inner Barrel must be properly installed and free of grease and lubricants for maximum benefit.
Fits AEG as well as VSR systems. The inside diameter is 6.05mm
